Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our country store! This role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing transactions accurately, and assisting customers with their needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be organized, and have a passion for delivering a positive shopping experience.
Duties
- Must be at least 18 years old due to the LCBO/Beer Store section
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases
- Operate POS systems efficiently for cash handling and transactions
- Manage product displays, merchandising, and stock replenishment
- Conduct product demos and provide technical sales support when needed
- Upsell products and recommend additional items to enhance customer satisfaction
- Maintain accurate cash register operations, including balancing cash at shift end
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Ensure the store environment is clean, organized, and welcoming
- Use strong communication skills to engage with diverse customers in multiple languages if applicable
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure smooth checkout processes
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service roles
- Strong communication skills
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Excellent organizational skills and time management to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Professional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for engaging with customers both in person and over the phone
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism
Pay: $17.60 per hour
