Summary
The Line Operator will set up, operate, and adjust production machinery to ensure that the line runs safely, efficiently and in accordance with customer specifications. The Line Operator must acquire functional understandings of their assigned equipment(s) and possess the ability to troubleshoot and repair minor mechanical stoppages.
Responsibilities:

Set up lines and re-assemble equipment

Calibrate equipment and conduct parts changeovers

Inspect all equipment and stations prior to production start-time

Operate equipment and monitor line performance

Troubleshoot and repair minor mechanical issues

Perform quality audits in accordance with food safety code
-
Accurately fill out all required documentation, pre-operational inspections, and daily productivity reports

Perform adjustments to equipment in cases of quality defects
-
Oversee housekeeping and daily clean-up of respective area

Perform Post-operational sanitation
-
Coordinate raw materials, packaging, and finished product with material handlers

Report any issues and assist in near miss or accident investigations
Qualifications:

High school diploma
-
Mechanical experience is a bonus
-
Minimum of 1 year in machine operation, manufacturing environment

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Working Conditions/Potential Hazards

Must wear personal protective equipment while on the plant floor (including warehouse areas) - Safety shoes, safety glasses, company uniform

Must wear hygiene required PPE while on the plant floor (including warehouse areas) - Hair net, beard/moustache net (if applicable)

Temperature changing environment: humidity, heat, cold

Noise-heavy environment, personal hearing protection can be provided upon request
