Heartland Disposal & Recycling Ltd. offers Roll-off bins, portable toilets, and temporary fencing services to its customers as well as potable water and septic services.
We are looking for a team player to join our organization primarily in the position as a Portable Toilet Service Technician but with the willingness to pitch in where required as the company continues growing.
Daily Tasks:
- Perform Daily Pre-trip Inspections
- Service & Clean Portable Toilets at various job sites.
- This includes sucking out the septic from the portable toilet, refilling the toilet tank with water or calcium chloride, restocking toilet paper and hand sanitizer, as well as cleaning and wiping down the portable toilet.
- Provide accurate, friendly, and responsive service to all customers (e.g., following dispatch installation instructions, contacting the customer for each dispatch before arriving on site, following all site rules and regulations; ensuring dispatcher is notified when a site or toilet(s) cannot be accessed)
- Follow and complete daily routes for toilet cleanings using a tablet and routing software, ensure all toilets are cleaned and restocked to Heartland standards, reports all issues to dispatcher, and completes delivery/pick up dispatches accurately and on time
- Deliver and/or Remove Portable Toilets from job sites
- Dump Septic Waste at Epcor septic dump stations
- Use tablet for reviewing and completing daily route sheet listing jobs and customer site locations.

Work Shift:
- Working hours are typically 7am to 5 pm Monday to Friday (10 hour shifts), and the occasional rotating Saturday alternating with other drivers.
Job Requirements:
- Valid Class 5 driver license with at least 3 years of experience along with a 5 year driver abstract
- Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
- Must be capable of using computer tables and software apps.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Perform complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Employee will be required to drive and work in year-round outdoor weather conditions
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use their hands to feel, handle, and/or operate objects, tools, and/or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand, stoop, kneel, lift, and bend at the knees. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
