Our company continues to grow rapidly, and we are looking for an experienced HVAC Service & Installation Manager to lead our Service and Installation Departments while helping us build one of the best HVAC teams in the GTA.
Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated, organized, and experienced HVAC Service & Installation Manager to oversee our daily operations, manage field technicians and installation crews, ensure outstanding workmanship, and deliver exceptional customer service.
This is a leadership role that combines technical expertise, people management, operational planning, quality control, and customer relationship management.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring every installation and service call is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest industry standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership
- Lead and supervise HVAC service technicians and installation crews.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate employees.
- Conduct regular technical and safety training.
- Build a positive, accountable, and high-performance team culture.
- Provide technical support for difficult service calls and installations.
Daily Operations
- Manage daily scheduling and manpower allocation.
- Coordinate with Dispatch, Sales, Warehouse, and Office teams.
- Ensure jobs are completed on schedule.
- Monitor technician productivity and installation quality.
- Resolve scheduling conflicts and field issues.
Technical Support
- Assist technicians in troubleshooting complex HVAC systems.
- Review installation plans and mechanical drawings.
- Ensure proper commissioning of equipment.
- Verify installations comply with manufacturer specifications.
Experience with:
- Furnaces
- Air Conditioners
- Heat Pumps
- Ductless Systems
- Boilers
- Water Heaters
- HRVs / ERVs
- Humidifiers
- Smart Thermostats
Quality Control
- Perform random job-site inspections.
- Reduce callbacks and warranty claims.
- Ensure installations meet company quality standards.
- Monitor customer satisfaction.
- Review completed projects before closing.
Customer Service
- Handle escalated customer concerns professionally.
- Support technicians with difficult customer situations.
- Ensure excellent communication throughout every project.
- Maintain our reputation for quality workmanship and honest service.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure all work complies with:
- TSSA Regulations
- ESA Requirements
- Ontario Building Code
- Manufacturer Installation Guidelines
- Company Safety Policies
- Workplace Health & Safety Standards
Promote a strong safety culture throughout the company.
Inventory & Equipment
- Coordinate with warehouse staff regarding inventory.
- Ensure technicians have required parts and materials.
- Monitor truck stock.
- Help reduce inventory waste and warranty returns.
Performance Management
Monitor and improve departmental KPIs, including:
- Technician productivity
- Installation quality
- Callback rate
- Warranty costs
- Customer satisfaction
- Google Reviews
- First-time fix rate
- Gross profit
- On-time completion rate
- Team performance
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 8 years of Residential HVAC experience.
- Minimum 3 years of leadership or management experience.
- Valid Ontario G2 Gas Technician License (G1 preferred)
- Vaild 313A Refrigerant License
- ODP Certification.
- Valid Ontario Driver's Licence.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.Preferred Experience
Experience with one or more of the following:

Experience using HVAC software such as:
- Service Fusion
