Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, promoting oral health education, and supporting the overall operations of our dental practice. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a friendly environment with a focus on patient comfort and clinical excellence. Prior experience with dental software such as Tracker. The position requires strong customer service skills and knowledge of medical terminology to ensure smooth patient interactions.
Responsibilities
- Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Conduct initial patient assessments and record medical histories accurately
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
- Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Take digital radiographs as needed
- Maintain sterilization protocols and ensure all dental instruments are properly sanitized
- Manage patient records using Tracker or similar dental management software
- Support pediatric patients with gentle care and effective communication
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient questions and concerns in a friendly manner
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and updating patient information
Skills
- Proficiency in Tracker or other dental practice management software
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
- Experience in dental assisting or related roles within a dental office setting
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and sterilization standards
Pay: $40.00-$60.00 per hour
