Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Intermediate Accountant Construction to join our client's finance team. This role is essential in managing construction project accounting, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting project budgets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting software and construction industry financial processes, contributing to the efficient operation of our financial services and maintaining compliance with industry standards.
Duties
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes using accounting software such as QuickBoooks
- Perform account reconciliation and bank reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Assist with budgeting, account analysis, and financial forecasting for construction projects
- Conduct auditing procedures to verify financial records and compliance with company policies
- Process payroll and handle related bookkeeping tasks
- Prepare detailed financial reports and support documentation for project audits
- Support project managers with financial data analysis and cost tracking
- Maintain organized records of all financial transactions related to construction projects
Requirements
- Proven experience with accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and PeopleSoft
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and bank reconciliation processes
- Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and auditing within the construction or related industries
- Familiarity with corporate finance principles, budgeting, and account analysis
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Prior experience in financial services or construction industry accounting is preferred
