Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations in a dynamic food service environment. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant or food service operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality service.
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and serving processes to maintain consistency and quality standards.
- Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and transaction accuracy.
- Lead and motivate team members, including interviewing potential staff, training new employees, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures to uphold health standards.
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and ensure proper storage of food items.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure an overall positive dining experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and dining areas in accordance with health codes.
- Assist in restaurant management tasks such as scheduling staff shifts, managing labor costs, and implementing operational policies.
- Support hospitality initiatives to enhance guest satisfaction through excellent service delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant management, with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, serving, and hospitality.
- Supervising experience with team management skills including interviewing, training, and leadership capabilities.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms; cash handling experience is essential.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures; certification is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
- Previous experience working in restaurants or the food industry; hotel or barista experience is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and motivate staff to achieve operational excellence.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or holidays if required; a passion for hospitality is essential for success in this role.
Pay: $15.00-$17.00 per hour
