We are seeking a skilled Driveshaft Manufacturing Technician to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, balancing, welding, inspecting, and testing driveshafts to meet quality and safety standards.
*Responsibilities* -
- Assemble driveshaft components according to specifications and work instructions.
- Operate manufacturing equipment, including presses, balancing machines, welding equipment, and measuring tools.
- Perform driveline balancing and quality inspections.
- Read work orders, and technical specifications.
- Conduct dimensional checks using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing and assembly issues.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Complete production documentation and quality records.
- Collaborate with teams to improve processes.
Previous experience in machining and welding a huge asset. However, On the job training will be provided for this specialized field. - Basic math skills for accurate measuring when building driveshafts required. Ability to lift packages weighing up to 80 pounds safely. Overhead crane is provided in shop to assist in lifting. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are required. - Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Preferred Skills
- MIG/TIG welding experience.
- Experience with automotive, heavy-duty truck, agricultural, or industrial driveline systems.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
- Basic computer skills for production reporting.
