We are seeking a motivated and dependable General Helper to join our dynamic warehouse team. Duties
- Assist with loading and unloading shipments using heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and clamp trucks
- Support order picking and packing processes to ensure accurate and timely deliveries
- Operate heavy machinery safely, including forklifts and load/unload equipment, following all safety protocols
- Help maintain warehouse organization by sorting, stacking, and storing inventory efficiently
- Support shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation
- Aid in general warehouse maintenance to uphold cleanliness, safety standards, and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with team members on construction-related tasks or heavy lifting projects as needed
Qualifications
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution or related logistics environments preferred
- Mechanical knowledge or experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, or clamp trucks is highly desirable
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and order processing
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift
- Experience with order picker operations and shipping & receiving procedures preferred
- Construction experience or familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to follow safety guidelines diligently
