Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper/Cook to join our culinary team. This role involves assisting with food preparation, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and supporting the overall kitchen operations. Duties
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Support cooking activities, including chopping, mixing, and assembling ingredients
- Ensure proper food handling and storage in compliance with safety regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment
- Serve food efficiently and courteously to customers or dining areas
- Follow food safety guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure hygiene standards are met
- Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of shortages
- Support the team during busy service times to ensure timely meal delivery
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environment preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and good communication abilities
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or holidays if required
- Basic understanding of serving protocols and meal presentation is a plus
- Food industry or culinary training is advantageous but not mandatory
