Human Resources Admin/Assistant

As the HR Admin, you will work closely with business leaders and functional managers, to execute the HR strategy, HR office management in order to achieve business results. You will assist in proactive solutions to drive and facilitate change initiatives and continuous improvement projects in support of the client group and occasionally the broader business. You will work in all HR areas including health and safety, recruitment, employee relations, policy/procedure interpretation, employee communications, employee engagement and organizational effectiveness for the client groups.
Responsibilities
- Support time attendance record in Ontario, miscellaneous correspondence, reports, and complete other daily responsibilities as directed by site HR Lead
- Maintain accurate training records and certifications, conduct annual WHMIS training, and update Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
- Support WSIB claims, including completing RTW (Return to Work) forms and plans, and conducting injury follow-ups.
- Support ON field operations in investigating and following up on collision and accident incidents.
- Help coach managers with new and upcoming trainings (e.g., health and safety training, orientation trainings and compliance trainings)
- Interpret the application of all HR policies
- Assist HR team in the job requisition process and job description development and maintenance with managers
- Post jobs on job boards and schedule interviews for hiring managers
-Communicating updates with candidates
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Post-secondary diploma in Human Resources, or Business Administration, or a related stream with minimum 1 years’ work experience in Logistics, Health and Safety or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines, with strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other office products.
- Proven ability to proactively drive and support change management efforts
- Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information with absolute discretion & tact
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong analytical assessment skills
- Self-starter with ability to take on new challenges

Pay: $21.00-$26.00 per hour
