Payroll and Benefits Coordinator

Process bi-weekly hourly payroll, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of timesheets, tickets, final payments and ROEs, and payroll-related tasks.

Responsible for maintaining employee records and processing payments in accordance with Collective Agreements, as well as preparing and submitting monthly union remittances.

Complete, review, and prepare payroll reports before and after each payroll cycle to support accurate processing and record-keeping.

Respond to payroll inquiries from internal stakeholders and external agencies in a timely and professional manner.

Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, identifying appropriate solutions to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum 1 -2 years of payroll experience.

Accuracy and speed in data entry are an absolute must.

Knowledge of Payroll practices and CRA Legislation.

Must be proficient with Excel (especially Pivot and VLOOKUP) and able to grasp new software easily.

Eager to learn and ability to apply newly acquired skills for immediate results.

Able to work independently and with a team to complete assigned tasks.

Strong attention to detail.

Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Completion or working towards Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) from the National Payroll Institute.
