Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Garage Door Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of various types of garage doors and related components. This role requires a strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Garage Door Technician will ensure that all work is performed safely and efficiently while providing excellent customer service.

We offer flexible pay options depending on experience and the arrangement that works best for you. In addition to base pay, commission and tips are also available — strong technicians who deliver quality work and great customer service have real earning potential here. We'll discuss the structure that fits you during the interview.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience working in the garage door industry
- Ability to lift up to 40–80 lbs
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain garage doors and openers according to manufacturer specifications.
- Diagnose issues with garage door systems and provide effective solutions.
- Perform routine maintenance checks and adjustments to ensure optimal functionality.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installations and repairs.
- Read blueprints and schematics to understand installation requirements.
- Restore damaged or malfunctioning components through caulking, drywall work, or flooring installation as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects in a timely manner while adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Skills
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to garage door installation and repair.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents effectively.
- Experience in caulking, drywall installation, flooring installation, tile laying, and plumbing is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot various mechanical issues.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality workmanship and safety standards.
- Ability to build rapport with clients through professional service delivery.
