Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of the parts and job components to distribute on the job site. The Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations.
Duties
- Deliver finished products to designated locations within the GTA.
- Securely load the delivery truck (16 foot box truck) prior to leaving the warehouse.
- Transport materials to and from the finishing shop.
- Disassembly and re-assembly of cabinets as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and delivery times.
- Assist with receiving and organizing materials in the warehouse.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport.
- Move finished products within the warehouse - away from the production benches and into staging area.
- General cleaning and organization within the warehouse.
Requirements
- Valid G driver's license (CDL) is required and recent drivers abstract.
- Previous experience driving a 16 foot box truck.
- Good understanding of the GTA and surrounding areas.
- Experience in the millwork industry and understanding of drawings is an asset.
- Must be able to lift 100 lbs.
- Strong ability to work well in a team environment as the position is required to work with our shop foreman, cabinet makers and on site installation teams.
- Excellent communication skills as you will be required to relay important information from the job site to the office.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
