Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and documentation of goods incoming from multiple vendors and loading our customers with feed and farm supplies. The ideal candidate will have experience in agriculture/feed/tack and warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, and be familiar with warehouse management systems(POS). Duties
- Load and unload shipments using forklifts.
- Receive incoming goods, verify quantities against purchase orders, and document receipts in warehouse within our Lightspeed POS system.
- Receiving materials ranging from giftwear, clothing to feed and everything in between
- This canidate must be able to safely carry and load feed up to 70lbs.
- Maintain organization of materials
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to safety protocols
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy
- Support and greet customers while loading feed and throughout other areas of the store.
Skills
- Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (POS) is an asset.
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures and order fulfillment processes
- Ability to perform basic math calculations related to inventory and order processing
- Strong understanding of warehouse recieving practices
- Prior warehouse experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided as needed
- Good communication skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
