Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Process Server to join our legal support team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering legal documents accurately and efficiently while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. Responsibilities
- Serve legal documents such as subpoenas, summonses, complaints, and other court papers to individuals or entities as directed.
- Ensure timely delivery of documents in accordance with legal deadlines and jurisdictional requirements.
- Maintain detailed records of served documents, including dates, times, locations, and recipient information.
- Communicate professionally with clients, recipients, and legal professionals regarding service status.
- Prepare affidavits of service accurately and submit them within required timeframes.
- Organize and file documentation related to each case systematically for easy retrieval and compliance purposes.
- Conduct analysis of delivery routes and schedules to optimize efficiency.
- Uphold confidentiality and adhere to all legal standards governing document service.
Experience
- Prior experience in customer service or administrative roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong analysis skills to assess delivery routes and troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Excellent writing skills for preparing affidavits, reports, and correspondence.
- Basic knowledge of legal drafting and procedural requirements is a plus.
- Organizational skills necessary for managing multiple cases simultaneously and maintaining accurate filing systems.
- Experience with filing documents both physically and electronically is advantageous.
