General Description
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supervising the warehouse team and monitoring the preparing, organizing, shipping and receiving of samples and supplies to the facility. On the job training is provided. These positions are not suitable for those who cannot do periodic lifting throughout the day. Strict adherences to safety procedures are required.
Shifts: Full-Time, Monday-Friday. Day Shift (8:00am-4:00pm)
Education Required: High School Diploma.
Responsibilities
- Train team in duties and policies, direct work, and provide input on performance appraisals.
- Monitor and improve the productivity of the warehouse team through strong leadership, motivation and team building.
- Supervise and perform daily operations in order to meet productivity goals.
- Supervise the coordination and scheduling of shipments and activities to meet deadlines.
- Complete necessary records and reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepare warehouse documentation. Manage inventory and supply requirements.
- General shipping and receiving warehouse functions as needed; including organizing, sorting, locating and retrieving client material, disposal, an and supplies from the warehouse.
- Ensuring that all samples and supplies are stored properly.
- Ensure maintenance, logs, and janitorial tasks are performed daily.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workplace environment.
- Ensure that workplace health and safety policies and procedures are followed.
Requirements
- Forklift license and experience operating a forklift.
- Warehouse and Shipping & Receiving experience.
- Supervisory/Leadership experience in a warehouse environment or supply chain (1 year+).
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Accurate, detail oriented, decision maker and problem solver.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, adapt and cope with challenging situations.
- Accountable, dependable and demonstrate integrity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong computer skills.
- Troubleshoot and provide guidance to resolve warehouse operational needs.
- Ability to work as a team member, independently and work well unsupervised.
