Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Taxi Driver to provide safe and efficient transportation services to our customers. The ideal candidate will have excellent driving skills, a strong focus on customer service, and the ability to manage time effectively. This role involves navigating city routes, ensuring passenger safety, and maintaining a positive experience for all clients.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a taxi vehicle to transport passengers to their destinations promptly and comfortably
- Greet passengers courteously and assist with boarding and luggage as needed
- Follow designated routes and traffic laws to ensure safety and efficiency
- Manage cash transactions accurately and provide correct change when applicable
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle to ensure optimal operation
- Keep track of schedules and coordinate pickups to adhere to time commitments
- Communicate effectively with dispatch or customers regarding pick-up locations or delays
- Adhere to all local transportation regulations and company policies
Skills
- Proven experience in driving, preferably with commercial driving licenses or certifications
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Strong time management abilities to meet scheduled pickups and drop-offs
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
- Good navigation skills using GPS or maps to find efficient routes
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle unexpected situations safely
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and safety regulations
