Summary
We’re looking for a Greenhouse Maintenance Technician to help keep our facility running smoothly. This role is based on-site at our greenhouse in Vineland and plays a big part in maintaining the systems and environment that our plants depend on every day.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on greenhouse equipment and systems
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues
- Help with welding and general mechanical repairs when needed
- Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to diagnose problems
- Manage inventory of parts, tools, and supplies and ensure everything is stocked and easy to find
- Keep work areas organized, clean, and efficient
- Work with the rest of the team to keep the facility in top shape
- Follow safety procedures and environmental guidelines
Qualifications
- Experience supervising or leading maintenance work, ideally in a greenhouse or similar setting
- Experience with horticultural equipment is an asset
- Strong electrical and mechanical skills
- Comfortable with welding and general repair work
- Solid organizational skills and the ability to stay on top of inventory and tasks
- Able to read schematics and technical drawings
- Good communication skills in English
- Self-motivated but also works well with others
- Experience in manufacturing or horticulture is an asset
