Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Gas Station Attendant/Cashier to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing sales transactions, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the station. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be organized, and have a positive attitude to ensure a smooth and efficient customer experience. Experience in retail sales or cashiering are highly valued to better serve our customer base.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their needs in a courteous manner
- Operate POS systems accurately for fuel sales and retail transactions
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and process receipts with precision
- Conduct product demos and upsell items such as snacks, beverages, or convenience products
- Maintain cleanliness of the station including pumps, store area, and restrooms
- Restock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure attractive displays
- Provide information about promotions or loyalty programs to customers
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times during operations
- Manage phone inquiries professionally using proper phone etiquette
- Assist with inventory management and merchandising efforts
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Excellent organizational skills and time management to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to upsell products and provide great customer service
- Positive attitude with good interpersonal skills and professionalism
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
