As an event lead/manager, your primary responsibility is to provide clients with the elle cuisine experience by delivering exceptional service. Prior to an event, you will review and familiarize yourself with the event details provided by the client relations and sales team. You will mentor, train, and manage the team of on-site staff (servers, bartenders) to ensure a consistently high standard of service is maintained. This includes event set-ups, meal service, turnovers, tear-downs, and all other service functions related to the event.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct pre-event meetings or phone calls with the Client Relations team to review all necessary details.
- Act as a liaison between clients and the chef team on-site to ensure smooth and high-level food service at all times.
- Coordinate any changes with the kitchen and stewarding and communicate guest satisfaction and concerns that may arise, along with any related issues.
- Manage on-site servers and bartenders, ensuring a high level of morale is maintained.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree/Diploma in Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field, and/or experience in a similar environment would be beneficial, though not required.
- Smart Serve Certificate is required
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to manage a team of 5-20 service staff.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Availability to work evenings, nights, and weekends.
- Must adhere to company appearance standards and designated dress code.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
- Must have employment eligibility to work in Canada.
- Ontario Driver's License or equivalent is mandatory.
- Availability and comfort to drive insured company vehicles to and from events.
