Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Car Mechanic to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, maintenance, and diagnostics, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role involves performing repairs, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring vehicles meet safety and quality standards. Previous dealership experience and familiarity with schematics are highly valued to provide exceptional service to our customers.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair a variety of vehicle issues using mechanical knowledge and diagnostic tools
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid replacements
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to execute repairs effectively
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to accurately identify problems and solutions
- Assemble or replace parts following manufacturer specifications and safety protocols
- Conduct inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety standards before returning to customers
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and work performed for each vehicle
- Assist with vehicle assembly or disassembly as needed during repairs or upgrades
- Ensure work area is clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong understanding of automotive systems and repairs
- Dealership experience is preferred but not mandatory; equivalent hands-on experience is acceptable
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics interpretation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repairs or part replacements
- Knowledge of automotive maintenance procedures and diagnostic techniques
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repairs and recommendations
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues accurately
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a dynamic environment
- Certification or licensing related to automotive repair is a plus but not required
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
