The Night Shift Corrugated Lead Hand/Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all production activities during the night shift, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations. This role provides leadership to production employees, coordinates workflow, monitors productivity, and ensures production targets are achieved while maintaining company quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the night shift production team in the corrugated manufacturing facility.
- Assign daily work and ensure employees understand production priorities.
- Monitor production schedules to ensure customer deadlines are met.
- Ensure all machinery is operating safely and efficiently.
- Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with the maintenance team when repairs are required.
- Monitor product quality throughout the shift and ensure compliance with customer specifications.
- Enforce all health and safety policies, procedures, and company rules.
- Conduct shift start-up meetings and communicate production goals and safety updates.
- Train, mentor, and support new and existing employees.
- Monitor employee attendance, performance, and productivity.
- Complete production reports, downtime reports, quality reports, and shift handover documentation.
- Coordinate material availability with warehouse and production staff to minimize downtime.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
- Ensure proper housekeeping standards are maintained throughout the facility.
- Report equipment issues, accidents, quality concerns, and production delays to management.
- Assist with scheduling and staffing requirements as needed.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous supervisory or lead hand experience in a corrugated manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of corrugated converting and production processes.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and develop production employees.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and production reporting systems.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations.
- Forklift certification is considered an asset.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when required.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with noise, heat, dust, and moving machinery.
- Ability to work overnight shifts and overtime when required.
Working Conditions
- Full-time night shift.
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to production equipment and machinery.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times.
- Occasional weekend or overtime work may be required based on production demands.
Pay: $65,000.00 per year
