Charaka Rehab is seeking a compassionate and experienced Korean-speaking caregiver to provide home care services to Korean-speaking clients in the community. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting seniors and helping clients maintain their independence and quality of life at home.
The successful candidate should be comfortable assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), light housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, and providing companionship in a culturally sensitive and supportive manner.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with personal care activities such as dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene routines.
- Providing support with mobility, walking, and light exercise programs.
- Preparing meals and assisting with eating tasks, including cutting food and handling heavier items or condiments.
- Performing light housekeeping duties, including laundry, tidying, and maintaining a safe home environment.
- Providing companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Communicating effectively in Korean to support clients who prefer receiving care in their native language.
- Assisting with daily routines while promoting client dignity, independence, and safety.
Qualifications
- Fluent in Korean and able to communicate effectively with Korean-speaking clients.
- Previous experience as a Health Care Assistant, Care Aide, Companion, or Personal Support Worker is preferred.
- Experience working with seniors or individuals requiring personal care assistance.
- Compassionate, dependable, and professional attitude.
