Handyman Technician (Lead Technician)
Location: Metro Vancouver / Lower Mainland (field-based; operate from a branded high-roof Ford Transit)

Microworks is a premium small-project home service brand. We don't do renovation chaos-we deliver clean, efficient repairs and installs with strong communication and professional presentation. This role is for a skilled technician who can work independently, manage customer expectations, and identify additional work opportunities on-site.

You'll operate independently from a branded, high-roof Ford Transit van. You'll complete a wide range of residential handyman tasks efficiently, communicate clearly with homeowners, and perform light on-site sales by identifying and presenting appropriate additional work opportunities during walkthroughs.
Key responsibilities
- Complete residential small projects: repairs, installs, carpentry, drywall touch-ups, trim, rot repair, fence/gate fixes, assembly, minor painting/touch-ups, etc.
- Work solo with strong time management and professional judgment
- Set expectations with homeowners and keep communication clear throughout the job
- Identify additional work opportunities and confidently present scope/material needs
- Maintain excellent workmanship, clean job sites, and premium brand presentation
- Use CRM (HousecallPro) to log notes, updates, and photos accurately
- Keep van organized, safe, and job-ready; manage materials efficiently
Follow systems- -no freelancing on standards, closeouts, or documentation
Qualifications
- Strong general handyman experience (residential repairs/installations)
- Proven ability to work independently without heavy supervision
- Clean, professional appearance and excellent homeowner communication
- Confident presenting scope adjustments, materials, and add-on opportunities
- Strong judgment around efficiency, scope, and customer expectations
- Clean driving record; comfortable driving/parking a full-size high-roof van
- Dependable, organized, coachable, accountable; aligned with premium service culture
