Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cultivation Section Grower to join our team. This role involves supporting the cultivation process by maintaining healthy plant growth, ensuring optimal conditions, and assisting with daily horticultural tasks. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening and horticulture, along with the ability to perform physically demanding work in a fast-paced environment. Duties
- Assist with planting, watering, and pruning plants to promote healthy growth
- Monitor environmental conditions such as humidity, temperature, and light levels to ensure optimal plant health
- Operate irrigation systems and make adjustments as needed for efficient water use
- Use hand tools and mechanical equipment for trimming, harvesting, and maintenance tasks
- Perform heavy lifting of plants, soil, and supplies safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cultivation area to meet safety standards
- Document plant growth stages and report any issues or abnormalities to supervisors
- Support pest management and disease control efforts using integrated horticultural practices
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow within the cultivation section
Experience
- Prior experience in horticulture, gardening, or plant cultivation is mandatory
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and basic mechanical skills are advantageous
- Familiarity with hand tools and gardening equipment is beneficial
- Basic math skills for measurements and record keeping are necessary
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds) is essential
- A strong interest in horticulture or plant science is highly desirable
- Physical stamina for standing, bending, and working outdoors or in controlled environments for extended periods
