Job Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Paint Sales Associate to join our team. This role is responsible for assisting customers with paint selection, color matching, and product recommendations while delivering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, has an eye for detail, and is comfortable in a retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products or services
- Conduct product demonstrations and explain features to customers
- Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Operate POS systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Maintain merchandising standards and ensure products are well-presented on the sales floor
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Manage time effectively to ensure all customer needs are met efficiently during shifts
- Uphold phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries
- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
Skills
- Strong communication skills, including proficiency in English; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
- Experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service environments
- Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills for transactions
- Ability to perform product demos and explain technical features confidently in technology or product sales
- Organizational skills to manage merchandising and stock levels effectively
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
- Excellent phone etiquette for remote customer interactions
- Upselling skills to enhance sales performance and customer satisfaction
- Technical sales experience or familiarity with merchandising strategies is advantageous
