Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Cleaner to join our dynamic kitchen team. The Cleaner plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring that dining hall, kitchen is cleaned after every meal service and evening service. This position is essential for supporting our culinary staff in providing exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment.
Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize all dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using appropriate cleaning methods, when needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area and ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
- Assist in small food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen staff.
- Help maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages to management.
- Follow all health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Dispose of waste properly and keep the kitchen area organized and clean.
Skills
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hotel kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness.
- Team player with good communication skills to assist cooks and other kitchen staff.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
