Project Engineer

The role:
As our on-site Project Engineer, reporting to the Engineering Lead, you'll be key to the successful technical execution of natural gas compression, refrigeration, power generation, pump and retrofit projects.
- Own the engineering side of the job, ensuring technical solutions align with project goals and expectations.
- Assist with the development and support of Engineering and Design tools, procedures, specifications, training, and other initiatives.
- Ensure all projects comply with relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Improve customer relations with both internal clients (design, procurement, and production) and external clients.
- Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement and cost reduction within projects.
What You Bring:
Must-haves
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (Project Engineer) or Engineering Technologist (Project Specialist)
- Working knowledge of industry standards and regulations (e.g., ASME, API)
Nice-to-haves
- 5+ years of experience in project engineering within the oil & gas industry or a related field
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or Certified Technologist (CET) licensed in Alberta an asset
- Familiarity with natural gas compressor systems and related technologies
- Experience in international projects or working with global teams
