Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Coordinator to support purchasing activities within a fast-paced wholesale distribution environment
This role is responsible for sourcing and replenishing inventory across a diverse product portfolio, maintaining optimal stock levels, and supporting timely, accurate customer fulfillment. The ideal candidate brings experience in distribution purchasing and is eager to build a long-term career in procurement and supply chain.
Key Responsibilities

Purchasing, Category and Vendor Management on behalf of multiple branch locations and a Distribution Center to support sales and operations.

Monitor inventory levels, demand trends, and supplier lead times to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.

Create, release, and manage purchase orders within a dynamic ERP system.

Collaborate with suppliers to manage pricing, lead times, order quantities, and delivery schedules.

Analyze sales trends and inventory performance at both branch and Distribution Center levels to support buying decisions.

Partner with warehouse, logistics, and sales teams to align purchasing with customer demand, promotions, and operational requirements.

Resolve supplier-related issues, including delivery delays, shortages, invoice discrepancies, and quality concerns.

Maintain accurate purchasing, supplier, and inventory records.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to purchasing and inventory management processes
Qualifications & Experience

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in purchasing and/or inventory management, preferably within MRO, industrial, and/or fasteners industries.

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management or a related business field

Experience with inventory management, replenishment, and demand planning.

Experience purchasing for multiple branch locations and a centralized Distribution Center.

Understanding of warehouse and logistics operations within a wholesale distribution model.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales and inventory data.

Experience working with ERP systems; strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.

Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced distribution environment.

SCMP designation considered an asset.

NetSuite ERP / Valogix Inventory Planning software experience considered an asset
