A Cut Above Tree Experts is a growing tree care company serving Guelph, Wellington County, Waterloo Region, and surrounding areas. We are currently seeking an experienced Arborist Climber to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who can confidently perform tree pruning and removals, takes pride in producing high-quality work, and is committed to working safely and professionally.
As our company continues to grow, this position offers a clear pathway to a Crew Lead role for the right candidate.
Pay: $30–$35 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Part-time, typically 3–4 days per week
What You'll Do
- Perform tree pruning and removals using climbing techniques
- Operate chainsaws, rigging systems, chippers, and other arboricultural equipment
- Lead and mentor ground staff when required
- Conduct work safely and efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
- Communicate professionally with clients and team members
- Assist with job planning, site setup, and cleanup
Qualifications
- Previous experience climbing and performing tree work independently
- Strong understanding of rigging, pruning, and removal techniques
- Formal arboriculture training or certification considered an asset
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Positive attitude, professionalism, and strong work ethic
