Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Rigger to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely rigging, lifting, and positioning heavy equipment and materials using various rigging tools and machinery. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in construction environments. The Rigger will collaborate with crane operators, forklift drivers, and other construction personnel to ensure efficient and safe operations on-site.
Duties
- Set up, inspect, and operate rigging equipment to lift and move heavy loads safely.
- Coordinate with crane operators, forklift operators, and other team members to execute lifting plans.
- Attach loads securely using slings, hooks, chains, and other rigging hardware.
- Monitor load stability during lifts and adjust rigging as necessary to prevent accidents or damage.
- Conduct regular inspections of rigging gear and report any defects or safety concerns.
- Assist in the assembly and disassembly of cranes, boom trucks, and other lifting machinery.
- Maintain clear communication with team members throughout all lifting operations to ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Follow all safety procedures and industry regulations related to rigging and lifting operations.
- Provide mechanical knowledge support for equipment troubleshooting when needed.
- Support customer service efforts by ensuring timely completion of tasks while maintaining safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction
- Valid certification or an expired
- Mechanical knowledge related to lifting equipment and rigging hardware.
- Ability to communicate effectively; bilingual skills are advantageous for diverse work sites.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and industry standards related to rigging and lifting operations.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients.
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including heights and confined spaces.
- Multilingual abilities are considered a valuable asset for effective site communication.
- Customer service orientation to ensure client satisfaction through professional execution of duties.

Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour
