Position Summary
FirstLight Home Care of Halton is currently seeking caring, dependable and professional individuals to join our team as a Nanny/Caregiver. This role combines child care, caregiver support and household assistance, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys helping families create a safe, organized and nurturing home environment.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will vary based on each family's individual needs and may include caring for infants or children, assisting with school routines, preparing nutritious meals, providing transportation to activities, helping with homework and daily routines, completing light housekeeping and laundry, household organization and offering companionship or support to older adults when required. Every assignment is centered around providing dependable, compassionate support that enhances a family's quality of life.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate has experience providing nurturing, developmentally appropriate care for infants and children while supporting families in a home environment. Previous experience as a nanny, family caregiver or in a licensed child care setting is preferred. Experience with household management, meal preparation, light housekeeping and establishing age-appropriate routines is considered an asset. The successful candidate is compassionate, dependable, organized and able to work independently while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality and strong communication with families and the FirstLight Home Care of Halton team.
Requirements
Applicants must have completed a diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education. Registration in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators is considered an asset. Candidate must also provide a current Vulnerable Sector Check, TB screening and current CPR and First Aid certification or a willingness to obtain team. A valid driver's licence and/or reliable transportation are preferred, as travel throughout the Halton Region may be required.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
