C.B. Landscaping is seeking an experienced and dedicated Foreman to contribute to our mission of creating beauty throughout the city.
As a Foreman, you will oversee, coordinate, and schedule the daily activities of our landscape construction crew. Your role involves working alongside your crew members and training them in the methods and skills of landscape installation, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and quality standards. You will plan labour and equipment needs, as well as material deliveries, to ensure timely project completion. Maintaining safety standards, cleanliness, and organization on job sites and equipment are also essential aspects of this role. Additional responsibilities include:
- Installation of landscape construction projects, including site preparation, hardscapes, and softscapes
- Record-keeping for timesheets, order receipts, crew and safety evaluations, and more
- Leading and motivating a crew of 2-5 members to achieve project goals
- Training crew members in proper landscape construction techniques
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of landscape construction experience
- Strong knowledge of softscape and hardscape construction processes and techniques
- Attention to detail
- English or French
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Organized, self-motivated, and dependable
- Knowledgeable in Laser Level and Site Layout
- Ability to operate Skid Steer, Excavator, and Rubber Tire Loader
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and take direction from the Operations Manager
- Experience reading plans, elevations, take-offs, blueprints, and specifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean abstract
- Criminal record check
