About the Role
As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will play a key leadership role within our Health & Wellness Department by:
- Providing safe, high-quality nursing care to our residents.
- Assessing residents’ health needs and developing individualized plans of care.
- Assigning, delegating, and evaluating the work of wellness staff.
- Monitoring residents’ health status and responding appropriately to changes in condition.
- Collaborating with physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure exceptional resident care.
- Promoting a safe, respectful, and resident-centered environment.
- Supporting and mentoring care staff while fostering teamwork and professional excellence.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) in good standing.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certification.
- Previous experience working in a retirement residence, long-term care, or a similar setting is preferred.
- Leadership or supervisory experience is considered a strong asset.
- Knowledge of PointClickCare (PCC) is an asset.
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
- A genuine passion for providing exceptional care to seniors.
Requirements Upon Hire
The successful applicant must provide:
- A current two-step Tuberculosis (TB) test.
- A satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
- Proof of eligibility to work in Canada.
Pay: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
