US Payroll and Benefits Coordinator

Assist in the administration of weekly and bi-weekly payrolls for multiple states.

Review and audit payroll information to ensure accuracy before processing.

Compile and prepare payroll related reports and remittances after each payroll run

Process payroll tax withholdings and ensure timely remittance of payroll taxes.

Ensure compliance with state-specific tax and labor requirements.
-
Administer wage garnishments, child support orders, and other involuntary deductions.
-
Manage payroll adjustments and off-cycle payments including final pays.
-
Assist in processing new hires and terminations including final pays.
-
Complete benefit administration and payments.
-
Assist with year-end activities including preparation of W2’s and 1095’s.

Ensure the maintenance of accurate information – personnel files.
-
Respond to enquiries from internal and external sources.
-
Troubleshoot issues for appropriate resolutions.
-
Liaise and collaborate with various departments on special projects.
-
Other duties as required, filing/scanning etc.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
-
Completion of the Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) from the Canadian Payroll Association is preferred
-
Knowledge of US payroll laws, tax regulations and wage and hour requirements.

3-5 years of experience

Working knowledge of WinTeam Solutions

Experience in a fast-paced environment

Proficient with Excel, Word and MS Outlook

Basic accounting knowledge

Eager to learn and ability to apply newly acquired skills for immediate results
