Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble cold dishes, salads, charcuterie, and garnishes according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Assist in the preparation of hot dishes as needed, supporting overall kitchen operations.
- Maintain proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met at all times.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and rotated according to food safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours.
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and sanitized throughout shifts.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of shortages or expired items.
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food preparation and handling.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred, especially within a professional kitchen setting.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and meal assembly.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience working with various kitchen equipment and tools used in cold food preparation.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
