Creel & Gambrel is seeking a motivated and dependable Warehouse & Delivery Associate to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in maintaining an organized workspace, and is committed to providing excellent service while representing our company on deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Pull and prepare customer orders from both dry goods and refrigerated storage areas
- Assist with receiving, unloading, and putting away incoming shipments
- Stock warehouse shelves and maintain inventory organization
- Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently
- Complete company deliveries using company vehicles (refrigerated vans) in a safe, professional, and courteous manner
- Deliver products throughout Eastern Ontario, 401 Corridor between Ottawa and Port Hope, up to Peterborough and Arnprior with occasional deliveries to the Greater Toronto Area as required, and pickups along the route as well
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the warehouse and cooler areas
- Follow all company safety procedures and safe lifting practices
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns
- Help ensure company vehicles, equipment, and warehouse assets are properly cared for
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform physically demanding work throughout the day
- Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of products
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs (22.7 kg) regularly
- Comfortable working in both warehouse and refrigerated environments
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- Start and end times may vary based on delivery routes and workload
- Occasional overtime and early start times may be required
- Shifts may be up to 12 hours per day depending on operational requirements
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
- Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check
- High school diploma preferred
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow directions and safety procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a warehouse environment
- Previous delivery driving experience
- Familiarity with refrigerated vehicles and temperature-controlled transportation
- Forklift experience is considered an asset
Compensation & Employment Terms
- Starting wage of $21.00 per hour
- Successful candidate will be subject to a three (3) month probationary period
