Responsibilities:
Job Purpose
The position will lead and develop the team(s) to meet various obligations required for power generation at a Pattern Energy operating site.
Key Accountabilities

Support the Facility Manager in the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the wind generation facility, including compliance with all applicable federal, provincial, local, environmental, health and safety regulations, permits, and reporting requirements.

Support the planning, coordination, and execution of facility operations, maintenance activities, outages, inventory management, repairs, and capital improvement projects. Monitor facility performance, review downtime events, and support initiatives that maximize asset availability, reliability, and operational performance.

Provide technical leadership, supervision, and hands-on support for wind turbine generators, balance-of-plant equipment, power delivery systems, site infrastructure, contractors, and maintenance personnel. Ensure work is performed in accordance with approved procedures, permitting requirements, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) processes.

Promote and support an injury-free workplace culture through active safety leadership, hazard identification, risk assessment, human performance tools, training, and compliance with corporate safety programs and work practices.

Support workforce development, employee engagement, contractor management, and team performance while fostering a positive work environment built on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Support stakeholder, landowners, and community relations activities while assisting with the management of site resources, budgets, and operational objectives to ensure the long-term success of the facility.
Qualifications:
Experience/Qualifications/Education Required
Education Required

AA degree in a technical, business-related field or commensurate experience
Required Work Experience
-
Technical experience in the power generation industry or military operations

Proficient with computers, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and maintenance

BOP or High Voltage Experience
-
Managing and leading teams in an operations and maintenance setting

Team and personnel development
Additional Requirements
-
Must reside within 60 miles of the facility’s O&M building.

Ability to climb turbine tower >250’.

Candidates must be willing and able to work with high workloads in stressful conditions and in physically demanding settings while maintaining professional, non-confrontational behavior and demonstrating the utmost ethical value Examples include but are not limited to traveling, participation with climbing, harsh temperatures, extreme driving conditions, various 24/7 working hours, and supporting other business units and locations as needed.

Ability to travel across borders for additional training
The expected starting pay range for this role is $90,000 - $112,000 CAD. This range is an estimate and base pay may be above or below the ranges based on several factors including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base pay, Pattern’s compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time employees of all levels.
