Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and personable Hair Stylist to join our vibrant salon team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hair styling, excellent customer service skills, and a professional approach to sanitation and safety standards. This role offers the opportunity to create beautiful looks for clients while providing an exceptional salon experience. The Hair Stylist will also engage in retail sales and front desk duties, contributing to the overall success of the salon.
Duties
- Provide a variety of hair styling services including cuts, color, treatments, and styling according to client preferences
- Consult with clients to understand their desired look and recommend suitable styles and products
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all workstations and tools in compliance with health regulations
- Upsell retail products to clients that complement their treatments and hair care needs
- Manage appointment scheduling, check-in, and check-out processes at the front desk
- Deliver excellent customer service by creating a welcoming environment and ensuring client satisfaction
- Stay informed about current hair trends, techniques, and product knowledge to enhance service quality
- Assist with maintaining the salon’s appearance and organization
Experience
- Proven experience as a Hair Stylist or similar role in a professional salon setting
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety protocols in a salon environment
- Ability to upsell retail products confidently and effectively
- Excellent communication skills to understand client needs and provide personalized recommendations
- Previous experience with retail sales and front desk operations is preferred but not required; training will be provided for specific responsibilities
- A valid cosmetology license or certification as required by state regulations

This is a Commission based pay salon. Higher earning potential as we are a busy salon.
One of our stylists is leaving in August for Maternity and we need her clients taken care of, also, salon is under new ownership and clients are plentiful. we need two more stylists to take care of the clients.
We use higher end products lines as well as retail lines are also top quality.
Continued education is encouraged and provided.
