Job Description:
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Farm Assistant to help with daily cattle operations and general farm/property maintenance. This is a hands-on role suited for someone who enjoys working outdoors and isn’t afraid of physical work in all weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Feeding, checking, and handling beef cattle - Assisting with calving, health checks, and basic herd management - Operating farm equipment (tractors, loaders, etc.) - Cleaning pens, barns, and equipment - Fence building, repair, and general property upkeep - Yard maintenance (mowing, brush cutting, snow removal as needed) - Assisting with haying and other seasonal farm tasks - Basic mechanical work and equipment maintenance
Requirements:
- Previous farm experience preferred (especially with cattle) - Ability to operate farm machinery (or willingness to learn) - Strong work ethic and ability to work independently - Physically fit and able to lift 50+ lbs - Valid driver’s license (preferred) - Mechanical skills are an asset What We Offer: - Competitive pay based on experience - Flexible hours depending on season - Opportunity to learn and grow in farm operations - On-site training provided
