Job Summary
Hi-Quality Packaging is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Controller to oversee inventory movement, tracking, and accuracy across both raw materials and finished goods. The Inventory Controller will play a critical role in ensuring inventory levels are accurate, shipments are verified, and materials flow efficiently through the warehouse and production process.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials and finished products.
* Track inventory movement, including receiving, storage, production usage, and shipping.
* Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
* Inspect received goods for quantity accuracy and report discrepancies or damages.
* Verify outgoing shipments to ensure correct items and quantities are delivered to customers.
* Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to maintain inventory accuracy.
* Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
* Maintain organized inventory storage and labeling systems.
* Work closely with the warehouse, purchasing, production, and sales teams to ensure smooth material flow.
* Maintain inventory reports and provide updates to management on stock levels.
* Assist with forecasting and replenishment planning to prevent stock shortages or overstock.
* Ensure proper documentation for all inventory transactions.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or logistics preferred.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Proficiency with inventory management systems or ERP software.
* Basic computer skills including Excel and inventory reporting tools.
* Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Experience in packaging, manufacturing, or distribution environments is an asset.
* Fluency in both English and Chinese (Mandarin) is required.
Preferred Skills
* Experience with cycle counting and inventory audits.
* Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures.
* Forklift certification (asset but not required).

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
