Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Construction General Labourer to join our team in Charlottetown. The successful candidate will assist with various construction tasks, support skilled tradespeople, and contribute to the safe and efficient completion of projects. Responsibilities
- Assist with site preparation, including unloading materials and setting up equipment
- Support skilled tradespeople by carrying tools, materials, and supplies to designated areas
- Perform general labour tasks such as digging, lifting, shoveling, and cleaning work sites
- Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment at all times
- Help with the assembly and disassembly of scaffolding, formwork, or temporary structures
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Assist in loading and unloading materials from trucks or storage areas
- Support demolition activities as directed by supervisors
- Adhere to all safety regulations and report any hazards or incidents immediately
Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction or general labour is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic with attention to safety procedures
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license is a plus but not mandatory
- Must be dependable, punctual, and eager to learn new skills
