Overview
We are seeking dedicated a server to join our team for this summer. As a server, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive taproom experience for our guests.
Duties
- Greet and seat customers in a friendly and courteous manner
- Take food and beverage orders accurately
- Deliver orders to tables promptly and efficiently
- Handle cash and credit card transactions with accuracy
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Comply with current health, safety, and liquor licenses
- Maintaining a safe, fun environment for guests and staff
- Assessing customer preferences and making menu recommendations
- Coordinating large groups/special events
- Cleaning the bar, tables, chairs, washrooms and work areas upon starting a shift and hourly to maintain a sanitary environment
- Reporting to the manager or owners regarding maintenance, guest issues and general updates
- Balancing cash receipts at the end of your shift or closing your cash at the end of the night
Requirements
- Must be legal age
- Experience as a bartender considered an asset
- Knowledge of a second language will be considered an asset
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt to restaurant procedures
- Knowledge of basic math for handling payments
- Familiarity with food safety guidelines
- Knowledge of digital and social media marketing is an asset
- Knowledge of mixology is an asset
