Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a cook. This role involves preparing and serving food in a fast-paced restaurant environment, ensuring high standards of food safety and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, excellent service skills, and a strong understanding of kitchen operations.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and standards
- Serve food to customers efficiently and courteously
- Handle food with care, adhering to proper food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist in food presentation and plating to ensure an appealing appearance
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas throughout shifts
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and preparation
- Support team members during busy periods, including taking orders and managing customer requests
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients and supplies to prevent spoilage or contamination
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred
- Asian cooking experience, especially using commercial wok range, or have proper training of asian cooking (institutional or through working experiences in Chinese / Asian restaurant is considered an asset
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and meal assembly
- Understanding of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly, professional attitude toward customers
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or holidays if needed
