District Manager Role
The District Manager is a pivotal leadership role responsible for shaping performance through people, culture, and disciplined execution across the GTA East region. More than delivering results, this leader drives sustainable success by building high-performing teams that embody Costco’s values and member-first culture. Leading through others, the District Manager identifies, develops, and empowers talent, fostering accountability, engagement, and operational excellence across a large and diverse workforce.
What You Will Shine At
- Building and leading teams of up to 100 employees, creating alignment around strategy, expectations, and execution
- Building a strong leadership bench through proactive succession planning and talent development
- Identifying and developing high-potential talent who embody our culture and values
- Creating an environment where people are engaged, empowered, and motivated to perform at their best
- Coaching leaders to deliver consistent execution while fostering a positive, accountable team culture
- Ensuring the right people are in the right roles to support both individual growth and organizational success
- Strengthening partnerships with Costco management and executive at a local and regional level by advancing a member-first mindset in everything we do
Who You Are
- You have 10+ years of experience leading large teams in a dynamic, multi-site, customer relationship focused environment
- You are able identify hire, and train candidates who fit our culture and strategy.
- You are able to influence and have tangible and measurable impact on your direction and instruction to your team
- You are able to coach the team to deliver exceptional sustainable results through strong people, clear expectations, and consistent execution
- You are a leader who inspires trust, builds followership, and creates alignment around a common purpose
- You have a proven ability to attract, develop, and retain high-performing talent
- You have the courage to make difficult decisions while maintaining strong relationships and team engagement
- You excel at coaching leaders, developing talent pipelines, and fostering a culture where people can grow and succeed
