The hourly wage rate for this position is $20.86 . Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist Catering Coordinator with the preparation of upcoming catering events
- Creates documentation for Catering Binder as requested
- Conducts monthly inventory of catering equipment and product
- Supervise various Catering events, ensuring the events run smoothly
- Lead event set up, ensuring all aspects of the event are properly set up
- Ensure all items are returned to their proper storage locations and that the event is cleaned up properly, following closing procedures
- Lead and assist team members in assigned task including working as a catering server and other job duties as per operational needs
- Ensures cleanliness, readiness, and safety of assigned catering area following health and safety protocols
- Ensure all staff has signed in and out of the catering event binder
- Be on time and ready for work in approved uniform and non-slip shoes.
- Must maintain knowledge of the available food & beverage offered during the event
- Must be able to follow instructions on the Banquet Event Order (BEO)
- Always exceeds guest expectations
- Establish rapport with guest, effectively using suggestive and upselling techniques
- Able to resolve customer complains in a friendly and service-oriented manner
- Must be able to operate different food warming equipment, beer taps, POS Machines and any other equipment used during the event
- Able to resolve team issues in a professional manner
- Responsible for following proper cash handling policy and procedures
- Complete closing duties in timely manner
- Assist other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests
- Must be able to effectively communicate with managers and co-workers to effectively accomplish goals.
- Participate in daily pre-shift
- Know locations of event spaces in the stadium
- All other tasks as delegated by Supervisor or Manager.

Physical Demands/ Work Environment
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40lbs.
- Frequent periods of standing and walking
- Outdoor venue subject to changing environmental conditions.
- Frequent use of stairs.
- Size of Stadium tends to involve higher physical demands on event days.
- Sensory Attention: this environment is a noisy loud environment on event days.
Language Skills
- English is the working language at this job location. Candidate must be able to understand, read, write, and speak English.
- French is considered an asset; but is not mandatory.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ previous catering or hospitality experience
- Proven supervisory skills and experience, capable of motivating and leading a team
- Creative ability to apply to the catering presentation of the food service operation
- Must have completed high school or equivalent. Relevant work experience will be considered an asset.
- Must be bondable, and pass an employer administered background check.
- Must be able to demonstrate mathematical skills
- Must possess a valid Smart Serve Certificate
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
- Must be able to multi-task
- Must be able to work in a fast pace environment
- Must be able to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Advance Food Safety Certification considered an asset
