Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line/Prep Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of food preparation and service, contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, strong kitchen skills, and a commitment to food safety standards. Prior restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and components for menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist in cooking and assembling dishes during service hours, ensuring timely delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including proper food handling and storage
- Follow food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Support the kitchen team with meal preparation, portioning, and plating as needed
- Restock supplies and ingredients to ensure smooth kitchen operations throughout shifts
- Assist with cleaning kitchen equipment and utensils after use to uphold sanitation standards
Skills
- Experience in serving, food preparation, or cooking within a restaurant or food service environment is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and kitchen equipment operation
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow directions from head chefs or supervisors
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities during busy service hours
