Can-Sky Roofing & Sheet Metal Inc. is a construction firm that specializes in flat and low-slope roof systems and exterior sheet metal work in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and entire Ontario region. We serve clientele in the industrial/commercial/institutional (ICI) and multiple dwelling unit (MDU) sectors of the market. To date we have completed over 1000 flat roof projects – this includes flat roof replacements, flat roof retrofits, and new construction. Can-Sky also engages in flat roof repair and sheet metal work.
Compile measurements and prepare quantity tables from digital construction drawings using BlueBeam Revu software and MS Excel;
Attend pre-bid site meetings and compile field measurements;
Prepare cost estimates with Sage (Timberline) Estimating software;
Communicate with suppliers to obtain and evaluate project-specific material pricing;
Prepare and submit complete tender packages;
Prepare and follow-up on quotations/proposals;
Prepare construction documents and contracts;
Analyze and identify risk factors present in contract documents and specifications (ie. 'hooks', bonding, insurance, etc.);
Prepare construction schedules with MS Project Professional;
Prepare material order sheets and schedule material deliveries;
Prepare work orders;
Prepare and submit warranty applications and related warranty documents;
Submit information into Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
Must be able to read and understand construction drawings and specifications;
Excellent written communication skills;
Strong time management skills and detail-oriented individual;
Ability to work both independently and in a team atmosphere in a fast-paced environment;
Ability to work at heights and climb ladders;
Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook;
Valid driver's license is not required but considered an asset;
Proficiency in AutoCAD is not required but considered a strong asset;
Proficiency in the following is not required but considered an asset:
Sage (Timberline);
Bluebeam Revu;
MS Project Professional.
