Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Family Physician to join our walk-in clinic.
You will provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, diagnosing and managing both acute and chronic medical conditions. Physicians who demonstrate strong clinical performance and are interested in building a long-term practice may have the opportunity to join our Family Health Group and establish their own roster within our clinic.
Responsibilities
- Assess and examine walk-in patients presenting with acute and chronic medical concerns.
- Obtain patient histories and perform comprehensive physical examinations.
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of medical conditions.
- Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic investigations.
- Prescribe medications and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide care for infections, injuries, chronic disease management, and general medical consultations.
- Provide vaccinations and immunizations in accordance with public health guidelines. Our nurses and physician assistants administer injections when appropriate.
- Educate patients on disease prevention, treatment, and follow-up care.
- Refer patients to specialists and allied healthcare providers when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Accuro EMR.
- Comply with Ontario public health reporting requirements and CPSO standards.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
- Independent licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO), or eligibility for independent licensure.
- Certification in Family Medicine (CCFP).
- Experience in walk-in, urgent care, or outpatient primary care is an asset.
- Recent Family Medicine graduates are encouraged to apply.
Compensation
This position is compensated through fee-for-service billing.
The clinic provides complete administrative and operational support, including:
- OHIP billing.
- Private insurance billing.
- Newcomer and IFHP billing.
- Staffing and reception.
- Scheduling.
- Medical supplies and equipment.
- AI-assisted documentation tools.
Physicians are expected to work a minimum of 30 clinical hours per week, although flexible scheduling arrangements are available.
Guaranteed minimum annual take-home income: $400,000.
With consistent scheduling and our established patient volume, physicians have the opportunity to earn $500,000 or more annually.
